English
El Árbol de los Anhelos is an unbound codex of thirty illuminated canvases, each inspired by an article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Through calligraffiti—a fusion of calligraphy, typography, and graffiti—the written word becomes light, gesture, and collective memory.
Together, the works form a visual manuscript of dignity and connection between Colombia, Houston, and the world.

Classes I’ve Created and Taught
Here I’ve gathered the classes I have designed and taught over the years. Each one reflects an obsession, a way of seeing art. The Labs are where we explore the formless — ideas, symbols, and experience — and bring them into form.
The Workshops are where craft takes the lead, shaping beautiful objects through hands-on making. Together, they reflect my belief that art is both concept and craft, vision and practice.

Anaconda/ Guio
is a large-scale sculpture inspired by Amazonian mythology and the river’s serpentine spirit — a symbol of transformation, resilience, and connection between the natural and cosmic worlds.
Created first in paper maché for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s Myths and Legends Festival and later reborn in fiberglass after being destroyed by the weather, the work traces a journey of endurance and renewal.
