El Árbol de los Anhelos – Codex of Human Rights is a long-term visual project originally conceived as a series of thirty large-scale works, each dedicated to one article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
It has evolved into an open system without a fixed sequence, where additional works emerge in response to context, opportunities, and the state of the world.
The work continues to develop through institutional support, grants, residencies, and public presentations.

El Árbol de los Anhelos – Codex of Human Rights es un proyecto visual a largo plazo concebido originalmente como una serie de treinta obras de gran formato, cada una dedicada a un artículo de la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos.
El proyecto ha evolucionado hacia un sistema abierto sin una secuencia fija, en el que nuevas obras surgen en respuesta al contexto, a las oportunidades y al estado del mundo.

A large-scale sculpture inspired by Amazonian mythology and the river’s serpentine spirit — a symbol of transformation, resilience, and connection between the natural and cosmic worlds.
Created first in papier-mache for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s Myths and Legends Festival and later reborn in fiberglass after being destroyed by the weather, the work traces a journey of endurance and renewal.
